What’s the story?

On an edition of the Wrestling Observer Live, a possible reason behind SAnitY not making their SmackDown Live debut yet was discussed.

Apparently, the delay is being attributed to the fact that SAnitY could get lost in the shuffle with the other NXT talents that were recently drafted to the main roster.

In case you didn’t know…

SAnitY presently comprises Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, Killian Dain & Nikki Cross.

As part of the WWE’s Superstar Shake-Up that took place last month, WWE confirmed that the aforementioned NXT stable, SAnitY, would be making their main-roster debut on SmackDown Live very soon.

The heart of the matter

One ought to note that apart from a vignette aired by WWE, hyping SAnitY’s upcoming debut on SmackDown Live, the stable is yet to prominently appear on the WWE’s blue brand.

Veteran professional wrestling journalist Bryan Alvarez explained that a possible reason behind SAnitY not having made their SmackDown Live debut yet, is that WWE isn’t keen on throwing all NXT call-ups on its main-roster television programming right away, and risk having SAnitY get lost in the shuffle.

Furthermore, Alvarez cited the example of Bobby Lashley being drafted to RAW as part of the Superstar Shake-Up; noting how Lashley wasn’t involved in any significant storyline over the past several weeks, and is only now commencing a notable feud.

In reference to Alvarez’s speculation regarding WWE spacing out the SmackDown Live debuts of NXT Superstars, it’s rather intriguing to note that Andrade “Cien” Almas made his main-roster debut on this week’s SmackDown Live episode, and was featured as a key attraction on the show—with no sign of SAnitY on said show.

What’s next?

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that SAnitY are likely to debut on SmackDown Live very soon, albeit with Nikki Cross staying on NXT.

Author’s take

Honestly speaking, it’s indeed a real possibility that SAnitY could challenge The Bludgeon Brothers upon the former team’s debut on SmackDown Live.

Considering how The Bludgeon Brothers have cleaned out the blue brand’s Tag Team division, it makes sense for WWE to book a dominant faction such as SAnitY against Harper & Rowan.
