Former NXT Tag Team Champions Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are backstage for Monday Night Raw and expected to wrestle according to a report published by PWInsider.
The Revival have not wrestled on Raw since the July 24 episode where Dawson and Wilder defeated Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
The Revival debuted on Raw the night after WrestleMania 33 by defeating The New Day, but a jaw injury suffered by Wilder would prevent the team from wrestling.
Months later, after Wilder’s jaw injury healed, Dawson would suffer a ruptured biceps tendon tear during a WWE live event back in August that kept him out of action for the past four months.
Dawson’s return was projected to occur around December and the report from PWInsider means the WWE isn’t wasting any time in establishing The Top Guys.
Dawson and Wilder formed their tag team in NXT in 2014 and would spend the next few years dominating the tag team division. The Revival first won the NXT Tag Team Championships on an NXT episode that took place on Oct. 22, 2015, but aired on Nov. 11, 2015.
The Revival went on to hold the championships for 162 days before losing them to American Alpha at NXT Takeover: Dallas. However, the Top Guys regain the titles at NXT Takeover: The End and became the first team to win the NXT Tag Team Championships twice.
