What's the story?
As we approach closer to WWE's first major PPV of the year 2018, the rumours of Daniel Bryan's in-ring return has started doing rounds on social media. However, a recent incident that took place backstage has added more weight to these stories.
Reportedly, the creative team pitched the idea of Bryan's win at Royal Rumble 2018 and it caused a lot of excitement amidst the entire backstage crew.
In case you didn't know...
In 2013, Daniel Bryan was set to become the next big thing of WWE. His popularity had made him fan-favourite and his 'Yes' movement took the entire WWE universe by storm.
However, in 2016 he was forced to retire from professional wrestling due to repeated concussions and head injuries. Eventually, he returned to SmackDown as the General Manager and has been winning hearts since then.
The heart of the matter
Currently, Bryan is one of the favourites to be the last man standing at Royal Rumble. According to the reports, WWE creative pitched the idea that the Blue Brand's GM should announce his return to the squared circle with a win against 29 other wrestlers.
Soon the word got out and the crew members who work backstage started betting on likes of Bryan's win. Although no official statement was made about this whole incident, it generated a lot of buzz amongst the people who work behind the screen.
What's next?
There have been no official statements that can confirm or deny the reports of Bryan's much-awaited in-ring return.
However, if the creatives did pitch the idea of his victory at Royal Rumble it only confirms that they will have a positive response to Bryan's return. This implies that if and when Bryan decides to return he will be welcomed with strong storylines and appealing feuds.

It is not surprising to find out that many are betting in favour of Bryan's win at Royal Rumble. Needless to say, he is one of the favourite WWE Superstars today and everyone wants to see him bring back his incredible actions inside the WWE ring.
Unfortunately, it all depends on his medical conditions. He cannot return to wrestling unless he is cleared by the doctors for the same. We hope that it all works out and Bryan comes back to WWE to pick up from where he was forced to leave.
