What's the story?
Justin Barrasso from Sports Illustrated tweeted out some interesting news during the SmackDown Live main event match between John Cena and AJ Styles, which Cena ended up winning to be added to the Fastlane main event, making it a six-man title match.
In case you didn't know...
Rey Mysterio returned to the WWE after a long time away during the Royal Rumble match, making it into the final four. It was then rumored he would sign a part-time deal where he could come and go as he pleased, similar to Chris Jericho's.
John Cena is currently in a storyline where he's desperately trying to cement himself a match at WrestleMania had has entered the Royal Rumble, appeared in the Elimination Chamber and is now going to enter the Fastlane main event.
The heart of the matter
Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, Justin Barrasso is claiming that Rey Mysterio is about to cement a WrestleMania match deal with the WWE and that the opponent that is rumored for Mysterio is John Cena.
This would make some semblance of sense as Cena and Mysterio were together in the Royal Rumble (I originally said that Cena eliminated Rey, but that was Balor, not sure why I thought Cena had...) but it would definitely be a dramatic departure from the rumored Undertaker match at WrestleMania.
What's next?
Cena is in the Fastlane main event, which means the rumored match with Shinsuke Nakamura for his Royal Rumble spot doesn't seem likely, unless it happens after Fastlane. But, as displayed by his promo on Monday Night RAW, it looks like Cena's final backup plan is 'The Phenom' himself.

I'd be 100% onboard for a Rey Mysterio Vs John Cena match at WrestleMania so I really wouldn't mind if this does come into fruition. However, we'll have to wait and see if there is any legitimacy to Barrasso's tweet.
