What’s the story?

As reported by Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Roman Reigns will not be wrestling at this weekend’s WWE live events.

Additionally, it was noted that the WWE have shuffled the main event matches owing to Reigns being off the live events. Besides, Reigns isn’t being advertised for the next episode of RAW either. However, he isn't expected to miss the Royal Rumble or any other pay-per-views.

In case you didn’t know…

Roman Reigns is widely regarded as the WWE’s top Superstar today and consistently performs on WWE’s television tapings as well as live events.

As we’d previously reported, the WWE is not advertising Reigns for the next episode of RAW, however, the reason for the same isn’t known yet.

The heart of the matter

Veteran professional wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer asserted that Roman Reigns will not be performing at the WWE live events that are set to take place over this weekend.

Furthermore, it was noted that the RAW-branded live events will instead have Braun Strowman vs. Samoa Joe and The Shield (Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins) vs. The Bar headline.

It was also reiterated that Reigns isn’t advertised for the next episode of RAW either. Nevertheless, the reason behind the Big Dog missing the aforementioned events hasn’t been revealed, and it remains to be seen whether there’s more than what meets the eye to Reigns’ sudden absence.

What’s next?

Roman Reigns will not compete at the WWE live events over the weekend, and may also be absent from the Monday Night RAW tapings as well.

The next episode of Monday Night RAW goes down at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI on December 18th.

Author’s take

Well, love him or hate him, Roman Reigns is charismatic and knows how to work a wrestling match.

As a loyal soldier of the Roman Empire here’s hoping all is well with the Big Dog and he returns to WWE competition at the earliest.
