From the WWE Rumor Mill: Scott Dawson's potential return date revealed

What's the story?

According to a recent Pro Wrestling Sheet report, it seems like Monday Night Raw Superstar and one half of The Revival, Scott Dawson, could be all set to make his return to WWE TV at the end of this month.

In case you didn't know...

Earlier this year, it was announced by WWE that Scott Dawson had suffered an injury to his right bicep in a match against Cesaro and Sheamus during a live event that took place in Canada. As reported by WWE, Dawson suffered the injury over the weekend of August 5-6 and it was later reported that the 33-year-old would be sidelined for 5-6 months.

Due to the injury, The Revival missed several WWE PPV's including major shows such as TLC and Survivor Series.

The heart of the matter

As reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, it is likely that Scott Dawson has recovered from the injury that sidelined him over the course of the entire summer and the former NXT Tag Team Champion could be all set to make his return to the squared circle, as he prepares to team up with his fellow tag team partner Dash Wilder once again.

Senior Pro Wrestling sheet producer, James McKenna has also revealed on Twitter that Dawson has undergone a successful surgery and will be cleared to compete once again at the end of December.

Additionally, Pro Wrestling Sheet's report read that Dawson is currently looking forward to getting the green light from the WWE medical team ahead of his return at the end of 2017. This also means that The Revival could make their much-anticipated TV return for the first time since the summer of 2017.

What's next?

It is still pretty unclear against whom The Revival will feud next, upon their return, however, judging by the fact that they were last seen in a match against Cesaro and Sheamus, it is safe to assume that the duo might go after the Raw Tag Team Championship next.

The other option might be WWE planning to build The Revival a bit more, before making them the top challengers for The Bar's championship belts. We could possibly see them get in a filler feud against the likes of Heath Slater & Rhyno or maybe Titus Worldwide.

Author's Take

I would like to see Revival immediately get into the Tag Title mix and shake things up in the Raw Tag Team division. The duo of Dash and Dawson are top guys and will prove to be a great set of champions.
