From the WWE Rumor Mill: Latest update on the status of The Rock and Hulk Hogan for Raw 25

The
The Rock and Hulk Hogan could join Steve Austin for RAW 25

What's the story?

Well, last week we reported that The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan had all allegedly been contacted about potentially appearing on RAW 25.

With 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin already confirmed to join the star-studded line-up, will The Rock and Hulk Hogan soon follow?

Well, it's quite possible.

In case you didn't know...

WWE RAW will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Monday with two events happening simultaneously in Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York, and from Manhattan Center - the venue that hosted the first ever RAW.

The card is already stacked with current RAW and SmackDown Superstars being joined by the aforementioned 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Ric Flair, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, The Dudley Boyz, the APA and The Bella Twins.

It has also been confirmed that Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler will reunite to commentate during the show.

The heart of the matter

Well, with 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and The Undertaker confirmed to appear, WWE are pulling out all the stops to make RAW 25 absolutely massive, but two of the biggest names ever to grace WWE Raw have not yet been confirmed.

According to PW Insider, The Rock could very possibly make an appearance. We reported yesterday that he may appear via satellite if he cannot physically be there - but apparently, there is still a chance that 'The Most Electrifying Man' In Sports Entertainment may shock us all and turn up in person.

Given his busy schedule, it may be difficult for The Rock to just jet off from a movie or television show set to make an appearance, but The Rock has always been very accommodating with WWE whenever they've needed him - from WrestleMania appearances to even showing up at a live event in 2015.

The matter of Hulk Hogan is a very different one. The last time we saw the Hulkster was in a segment with popular musician Snoop Dogg on Monday Night Raw before he was released after finding himself at the centre of a racism scandal.

It's still unknown what the relationship is between Hulk and WWE, but it has been rumoured that WWE have contacted Hulk Hogan about returning to the company in some capacity. The main worry is apparently how sponsors would react if Hogan did return - but if ever there was a time to bring him back, this could be it.

What's next?

Well, we'll find out in a less than a week!

No matter if The Rock and Hogan appear or not, this is guaranteed to be massive, but imagine if we get the three biggest stars in sports entertainment gracing the event?

The
The last time these three were together was WrestleMania 30

WWE is still keeping pretty quiet about the actual details of the event/events, so we can probably expect this to be huge!

Author's take

Well, this could go either way. It's understandable that The Rock's appearance is pretty much a touch and go as he's now at a level where he can't just drop everything for WWE - even if it is an incredible landmark and definitely something he helped build. It does seem like if he can be there and hundred percent he will be, so fingers crossed.

'The Hulkster' is a polarising one, but I think once his music hits upon his eventual return, the pop will be absolutely monumental. It just depends whether WWE is ready to pull the trigger on Hulkamania running wild as soon as next week or not!
