What’s the story?

On an edition of Backstage In WWE, it was revealed that The Undertaker wore a wig for his appearance at RAW 25.

Additionally, a possible reason behind The Undertaker needing the wig was also noted.

In case you didn’t know…

The WWE recently put forth a special episode of Monday Night RAW—RAW 25—celebrating the 25th anniversary of RAW.

Several past and present Superstars including legendary Superstars and on-screen personalities appeared on the show.

The heart of the matter

The Undertaker appeared at the Manhattan Center—the smaller venue from which RAW 25 aired—and although he appeared to have his flowing locks of hair intact, his scalp was hidden under his costume’s hood.

The vast majority of professional wrestling industry experts believe that The Undertaker donned a wig to RAW 25—which saw him involved in a segment that had him cut a promo in front of the fans at the Manhattan Center.

Furthermore, it’s been revealed that the Deadman’s segment which aired live on RAW 25, featured him with the wig, owing to the fact that he is unable to grow out his hair.

What’s next?

The Undertaker is expected to wrestle at Wrestlemania 34, likely in a feud with John Cena.

As of this writing, ‘Taker’s rumored appearance at tonight’s Royal Rumble PPV hasn’t been confirmed.

Author’s take

Honestly speaking, irrespective of what the pro-wrestling pundits opine, The Undertaker is a legend and if a wig is what he wants, then so be it.

What truly befuddles one, is that The Undertaker has often donned short hair—the mohwak in particular—whilst still functioning under the ‘Deadman’ gimmick. Nevertheless, perhaps the WWE may have other plans for Undertaker, which require him to grow his hair out. Besides, The Phenom isn’t the only ‘Brother of Destruction’ to use a wig—
