The Shield will be on Smackdown Live this week
The Shield will be on Smackdown Live this week

What’s the story?

The Smackdown Live roster is all set to head towards Charlotte, North California, for the last show before this year’s mega Survivor Series pay-per-view.

However, earlier today, it was reported by PWInsider that the blue brand might be accompanied to Charlotte by the Monday Raw roster, as it has been speculated that Raw could be all set to invade tomorrow night’s show in North Cali.

In case you didn’t know…

During the month of October, Shane McMahon and his Smackdown Live roster decided to invade Raw by putting the red “under siege”. During the invasion, the Raw roster was brutally assaulted by the Smackdown Live superstars as the blue brand put up a brutal beating on some of Kurt Angle’s top superstars.

Ever since the invasion, the Smackdown Live roster has been waiting on Raw to retaliate but the red brand still hasn’t made a move on their behalf and are yet to confront Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan’s brand.

The heart of the matter

Earlier this week, it was confirmed by WWE that the Shield are all set to go to Charlotte for this week’s episode of Smackdown Live and confront The New Day—who last week interrupted in the tag title match between The Shield and The Bar, which eventually led to a defeat for Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, as Cesaro and Sheamus were crowned the new Raw Tag Team Champions.

According to PWInsider, however, it has been speculated that the Shield will be accompanied by other male and female superstars from the red brand of Raw, as they look to finally retaliate on Smackdown on the go home show for Survivor Series.

Also during this week’s episode of Raw; Alexa Bliss told in an interview that she might be present in the city of Charlotte tomorrow in order to get a closer look between the Smackdown Live Women’s Title match between Natalya and Charlotte Flair. Bliss’ interview indicated towards the fact that she might not be the only women from the Raw brand who will be present in the SD Live arena tomorrow night and chances are that the Smackdown women’s division might suffer a savage assault at the hands of the Raw roster.

What’s next?

As of now, the final teams for the Survivor Series pay-per-view are all set and tomorrow night the match between Natalya and Charlotte Flair will decide the final Survivor Series match card as well.

This year’s Survivor Series event has a solid match card, which features the likes of The Shield, AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, John Cena, Kurt Angle, Shinsuke Nakamura, Asuka, Charlotte Flair and much more. The Survivor Series event will definitely be a top notch PPV and could possibly turn out to be WWE’s pay-per-view of the year.

Author’s Take

I think tomorrow night on Smackdown, we will finally get to see the blue brand roster face retaliation from the Raw roster.

The Shield has already been confirmed for the show, and Rollins and Ambrose might not be in a good mood after recently losing the tag team titles, thanks to the New Day. “The Hounds of Justice” might end up being the ones who lead the Raw retaliation.
