From the WWE Rumor Mill: WWE is considering pairing Ronda Rousey with Paul Heyman

Could the next
Could the next "Paul Heyman Guy" actually be a woman?

What's the story?

Slice Wrestling broke the news of Jey Uso's DUI arrest last month, and they provided some more news on Thursday afternoon regarding the newest major acquisition of the WWE, Ronda Rousey.

In case you didn't know...

While the official details are not available, it appears that Rousey signed a multi-year deal to become a full-time WWE Superstar. On the night of the Royal Rumble, January 28th, ESPN broke the news, and the following quote detailed what Ronda wants to do in the WWE:

"This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt," Rousey told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne of her decision to join WWE. "When I first met with Triple H, I told him, 'There are other things I can do with my time that'll make way more money, but I won't enjoy nearly as much.'"

The heart of the matter

They believe that 'Rowdy' Ronda Rousey will be paired up with the advocate of the reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Yes, Slice Wrestling has heard that Paul Heyman could also be the advocate of Rousey. Take a look at their tweet below:

There are obvious ties between Lesnar and Rousey where the pairing with Heyman makes sense. Lesnar started in the WWE and then transitioned to the MMA in 2007. Rousey is doing the opposite as she started in MMA in 2011 and will transition to the WWE in 2018.

What's next?

Rousey is currently filming a movie in Columbia, and then once that wraps up, she will report to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for the latest on Rousey joining the WWE.

Author's take

I think it is a brilliant pairing, and it makes complete sense. While Ronda works on getting the art of a WWE promo down, she'd have the greatest talker in the company with Paul Heyman as her advocate.

I've been wanting Heyman to become an advocate for someone in the women's division like Asuka, and if it happens with Rousey, it takes the next step in the Women's Revolution.
