What's the story?
The 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw is set to take place at the Barclays Center and Manhattan Center in New York on 22nd January of 2018. Set to take place from to arenas simultaneously the Anniversary Show has been advertised to feature legends like The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer recently reported that Chris Jericho is the latest star expected to appear on the show.
In case you didn't know...
Chris Jericho recently stirred up controversy in the wrestling world in one of the most shocking moments of the year so far. He appeared in a promo on NJPW Power Struggle, where he challenged Kenny Omega for a match. KO accepted the challenge, and the two are set to face each other on NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 12 which will take place on the 4th of January, 2018.
The match between Jericho and Omega will be the first time that Chris will wrestle outside WWE since he joined them in 1999.
The heart of the matter
Jericho was expected to return to WWE in 2018. According to Meltzer, sources close to the situation have informed him that Jericho's return could be as soon as the 25th Anniversary Show.
With Jericho set to take part in a match against Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12, appearing for WWE's 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw show would be huge. The last time an NJPW star came to WWE after such a high profile match was AJ's debut in the Royal Rumble following his Wrestle Kingdom 10 match.
Apparently, WWE does not have a problem with Jericho taking part in the match at Wrestle Kingdom 12.

What's Next?
Omega and Jericho are set to square off in a one-shot match at Wrestle Kingdom 12 to settle their Twitter feud. Currently, Jericho is working with ROH for his Cruise which will take place next October.

Jericho was a huge part of the Monday Night War's and his defection to WWE led to some amazing moments. Over the past two decades, Jericho has been one of the top level stars on Raw. It is only fitting that he be present at the 25th Anniversary broadcast of the show.
