From the WWE Rumour Mill: Raw and SmackDown LIVE authority figures to fight over Daniel Bryan

Is Daniel Bryan going to be forced to take a side?
Is Daniel Bryan going to be forced to take a side?

What's the story?

It is being speculated that a huge programme between Triple H and Stephanie McMahon against Kurt Angle and Shane McMahon is being planned, which will lead to Wrestlemania 34. In addition to this, Cageside Seats are suggesting that both sides will try to recruit Daniel Bryan

In case you didn't know...

At Survivor Series, Triple H shocked the WWE Universe during the Traditional Elimination match main event when he hit Kurt Angle with a Pedigree and placed Shane McMahon over him to eliminate 'The Olympic Gold Medalist'.

However, the shocks weren't done there as Triple H feigned joining Shane McMahon against the last remaining member of Team RAW, Braun Strowman, before enacting a double-double cross, hitting the SmackDown LIVE Commissioner with a Pedigree and pinning him, winning the match for Team RAW.

The heart of the matter

On the RAW after Survivor Series, Triple H was confronted by Braun Strowman, Kurt Angle, and Angle's son Jason Jordan with all three men unhappy about the COO's antics at the pay-per-view, but If the rumours are to be believed, this is all leading to Kurt Angle joining forces with Shane McMahon against Triple H and Stephanie.

Apparently, this will lead towards Wrestlemania 34 in a big way, but it doesn't stop there. Both sides are expected to try and recruit Daniel Bryan, who is sort of a wild card in this situation. This is something we started seeing during Survivor Series when Stephanie McMahon told Daniel Bryan he'd be in charge of SmackDown with Shane out of the way.

What's next?

If Daniel Bryan does pick a side, it's likely for Stephanie McMahon to turn the SmackDown General Manager into a heel. This is because the latter is unhappy with Shane McMahon's actions leading up to the Survivor Series pay-per-view. However, we'll know more once the post-Survivor Series SmackDown LIVE airs.

Author's take

I didn't like the Survivor Series ending, but if it leads to a power struggle for control of the WWE between the current General Managers and Commissioners then I can cope up with that. These current rumoured plans also scream Daniel Bryan ring return to me and who doesn't want that to happen?
