In case you didn't know...
Impact Wrestling has priced the premium subscription package to their Global Wrestling Network at $7.99, whereas the WWE has priced the subscription to its network at $9.99, which is two dollars more than that of its closest rivals.
The heart of the matter
In a recent upload on its Youtube channel, Impact Wrestling announced the launch of its Global Wrestling Network.
The video advertises the various features that come with subscribing to the Network and also promotes the 16 years of entertainment that Impact has been providing to its viewers.
The video states that Global Wrestling Network is the premier destination for the best wrestling from around the world and also states that fans can watch new episodes of Impact Wrestling, Xplosion and other exclusive content online for free.
However, the highlight of the video comes towards the end, where it is announced that by upgrading to the premium subscription for $7.99, fans can get access to exclusive clips from current and past Impact tapings, greatest matches, PPVs and various other benefits.
This is definitely a huge step for Impact Wrestling.
With the launching of the Global Wrestling Network, Impact has taken the right direction, when it comes to challenging the WWE for the top spot in Wrestling Entertainment. Whether or not the Network will be as great a success as that of the WWE's will be something we will have to wait to see.
This also makes Impact Wrestling content more available to casual fans, which can thereby improve the fanbase of the promotion on a whole.
While the announcement of the Global Wrestling Network is a huge step forward for Impact Wrestling, there is still much more that the promotion will have to do in order to catch up with the WWE.
