Grado says goodbye to America
Grado came out to the ring with Joseph Park and thanked the fans. He said that he will would to go back home as he was being deported. As he said goodbye to the fans, he was interrupted by Laurel Van Ness who came out with a different look.
Laurel said that she was a different woman and went on to propose Grado. Needless to say, he accepted.
Kongo Kong came out seeing this but he was shielded away by Mahabali Shera.
Hyping the main event
Cornette was seen talking to Eddie Edwards after the Grado segment. Cornette told Eddie that he would be proud if Eddie ended up winning the GFW title in the Gauntlet for Gold match.
In the segment that followed, LAX was seen in a Club House where Konnan asked Low-Ki to destroy everyone in the Gauntlet for Gold match.
Gauntlet for Gold Match
Eddie Edwards and Eli Drake started the match and were joined by Mario Bokara who came in third. Eddie Kingston, Braxton Sutter, Richard Justice and EC3 followed.
All seven men look turns at fighting each other before the first elimination took place when EC3 threw out Richard.
Kongo Kong came in at eight and immediately eliminated Bokara. He was targeted by everyone afterwards. Suicide was next and delivered some spots before being laid out by Kong.
The run of Kong was soon put to an end when he ran over the top after a failed attempt to eliminate Mahabali Shera who was the tenth entrant. Chris Adonis and El Hijo Del Fantasma came out in the 11th and 12th spots respectively.
Johnny Impact (John Morrison) made his GFW debut to a big pop when he came out at 13th position. The battle between him and EC3 amidst the chaos proved to be a highlight of the gauntlet match.
Former champion Bobby Lashley entered in at 18th and got three immediate eliminations when he threw out KM, Fallah Bahh and Ishimori. Moose and Low-Ki came in at 19th and 20th to complete the field.
The next major elimination was that of EC3 who fell victim to a teamwork from Edwards and Moose. Lashley then eliminated Low-Ki to reduce the field to himself, Edwards, Johnny Impact, Eli Drake and Moose.
Lashley’s dominating spell ended when a drop kick from Moose eliminated him. Eddie wasted no time in eliminating Moose as well leaving only three men in the ring.
The debut of Johnny Impact then came to an anti-climax when Eli Drake went out through the middle rope and eliminated him. This left Drake and Edwards as the last two wrestlers. Incidentally, it was these two that started the match as well.
After two Skylords Slams and a lot of to-and-fro action, Eli Drake was crowned the new GFW champion.
Result: Eli Drake won the GFW championship
In the post-match segment, American Top Team once again caused chaos on the ringside and even shoved Scott D’Amore. The show ended with Drake celebrating his win alongside Chris Adonis.
