What's the story?
GFW announced on their latest tapings that Pagano from AAA had signed with GFW and was bound for Impact.
In case you didn't know....
Pagano is a known face in the Mexican promotion AAA. His hardcore style of wrestling is well known in the world of wrestling, and his use of various weapons to inflict pain inside the ring has earned him a reputation.
Even though he debuted with a generic mask, he slowly began to wrestle in a mask which had a clown's makeup instead. He fought in a large number of Hair and mask matches, all of which saw him lose, other than the most recent one with Joe Lider.
His preferred hardcore style of wrestling has earned him the nickname El Rey Extremo or The Extreme King. He first rose to prominence in 2016 during his feud with Psycho Clown, whom he faced at Triplemania XXIV.
Pagano has also had an outing in the sport of MMA, where he defeated Carlos Riquelme in 2014.
The heart of the matter
GFW announced that Pagano would soon make his debut on Impact, as Borash confirmed that he had indeed signed with the company. Pagano faced El Mesias in this year's Triplemania, in a match that ended in a no contest, after both men were taken out by the interfering Rey Escorpion.

Pagano debuting for GFW is huge news, as that means that the stars of GFW better look out. Not one to mess around, he does not back down from any challenges and takes on all comers with a brutal savagery.

Pagano's arrival in GFW is sure to make things more chaotic, as his style is something unique to himself at the moment in the top league. Possessing incredible charisma, he is sure to help attract a different sort of fanbase, which is what GFW might be after.
GFW has not been overly successful since the takeover, and this might be the edge they want to add to their product to portray it in a different light.
