Do sound off in the comment section below.

#1 Super Show-Down

The biggest let-down of 2018
The biggest let-down of 2018

WWE conducted the first ever WWE PPV in Australia since 2002.

WWE Super Show-Down included some of the biggest names in the history of sports entertainment as part of its card. The Undertaker faced Triple H in a no disqualification match that was dubbed as the last-time ever between the two greats. Shawn Michael returned to accompany Triple H at the match.

In another big match, John Cena tagged with Bobby Lashley against the team of Elias and Kevin Owens. Daniel Bryan faced Miz in a no. 1 contender match, AJ Styles battled Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship and Charlotte Flair faced Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women's Championship at the event. Two big six-person tag team matches also took place at the show. The Shield collided with The Dogs of War, and Ronda Rousey and The Bella Twins faced The Riott Squad at the PPV.

The Australian boy Buddy Murphy challenged Alexander for Cruiserweight Championship and The IIconics faced Naomi and Asuka.

Positives:

The quality of two six-person tag matches was great, especially the one of the men. Both teams brought their A-Game at the show. Styles and Samoa Joe told a great story between them at the event.

The Cruiserweight Championship match was brilliant, giving the home crowd a moment to cherish. The IIconics' win was a great way to please the home crowd but their match was not so good.

Negatives:

The biggest negative of the show were the two heavily advertised matches. The main-event between Undertaker and Triple H was too long for people, and the tag match including John Cena was very dumb.

Due to the main event being too long Bryan and Miz got only a couple of minutes for their match which was a big let-down.

Grade: 6/10

#2 Evolution

A great first-time
A great first-time

WWE gave fans the first ever all-women PPV in 2018. For many, Evolution was a great success.

Evolution marked the first ever Last Woman Standing match between Flair and Lynch for SmackDown Women's Championship. Rousey defended her title against Nikki Bella. In another big match, Trish Stratus and Lita teamed with each other against Mickie James and Alicia Fox.

Kairi Sane waged war with Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women's Championship. The final match of Mae Young Classic Season 2 between Io Shirai and Toni Storm took place at the event. A 20 women battle royal comprising women from both past and present was held at the historical show.

Positives:

The quality of almost all the matches was good. The NXT Women'sTitle Match, the Mae Young Classic final and the SmackDown Women's Championship match were standouts from the rest. The battle royal was good with a blend of nostalgia in it.

A six-woman tag team match between Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Natalya and The Riott Squad was held at the event and was decent.

Negatives

One of the most over women of current era Alexa Bliss missed this PPV due to injury. She was replaced by Alicia Fox in the match. It hampered the credibility of their team. For many fans, giving the main event spot to Rousey and Bella was a big let down. The rumoured Women's Tag Team Titles were not announced at the show.

Grade: 9/10

#3 Crown Jewel

Can it get any worse than this?
Can it get any worse than this?

A big reason for dropping ratings and consistent fan backlash is Crown Jewel PPV. It was just so out of left-field.

It certainly had that big PPV feel, with a big tag team match between The Brothers of Destruction and D-Generation X, which also served as the return match for Shawn Michaels.

A triple threat for Universal Championship match between Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman and AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan were other big matches for the show. Both these matches were later cancelled due to different reasons.

The first ever WWE World Cup was announced for the event.

Positives:

There's not much to say in the name of positives. However, the quality of most of the matches in the World Cup was decent. Though the WWE Championship match between Joe and Styles was not their best match, it was still better than the rest of the card.

Negative:

Stars like Reigns, Bryan and John Cena did not take part in the event. The main event was a long and boring affair ruining Michaels' return to the ring. Lesnar beating Strowman was a big humiliating point for the event.

The World Cup included only Americans, which was a big drawback. The bigger disappointment was Shane McMahon winning the whole schtick. The unavailability of women further hampered this PPV.

Grade: 2/10

#4 Survivor Series

The Battle of Brands was good
The Battle of Brands was good

The theme for this years PPV was same as last year's: a battle of brands.

Many different types of matches between both the brands took place at the event. Two big matches announced for the event were Rousey vs Lynch (Raw Women's Champion vs SmackDown Women's Champion) and Lesnar vs Styles II (Universal Champion vs WWE Champion).

Both these matches were changed at the last moment, with Lynch getting injured and Styles losing his title on the go home show. Bryan replaced Styles and faced Lesnar whereas Flair replaced Lynch to face Rousey.

Seth Rollins battled Shinsuke Nakamura in a dream match at the PPV.

Positives:

Despite the fact that two big matches were changed at the last moment the PPV received a positive reaction from the fans. The quality of Nakamura vs Rollins was good. Bryan told a great story in his match against Lesnar.

Flair snapping after her match against Rousey was a great way to further the storyline between the trio of Rousey, Flair and Lynch. The two Survivor Series matches on the main card were fine as well.

Negative:

The Tag Team Division has been a joke in the modern era of WWE. This was proved in the Authors of the Pain vs The Bar match. For some silly comedic relief, the quality of this match was completely messed with.

Raw clean sweeping Smackdown did not have any fallout on either Raw or Smackdown, which makes the whole thing pointless. The pre-show win of the Smackdown Tag Team Division was not even considered.

Grade: 7/10

#5 TLC: Tables Ladders and Chairs

TLC had its share of negatives
TLC had its share of negatives

The latest and the last one on the list is TLC.

The recently concluded PPV garnered mixed reactions from fans. It was a PPV which had a long card with a total of 10 matches on the main card.

The absence of Universal Champion Brock Lesnar was a big negative but the other matches made up for it.

Bryan fought Styles in a rematch for the WWE Championship. Former Shield Brothers Rollins and Ambrose collided for the Intercontinental Title at the PPV. Rousey once again faced Nia Jax for the Raw Women's Championship. Flair and Asuka challenged Lynch's throne at the PPV in a TLC match.

Drew McIntyre vs Finn Balor, Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton and Natalya vs Ruby Riott were other big matches for the show. Strowman was set to face Corbin in a match at the TLC PPV. The finals of MMC between the duo of Mahalicia and Fabulous Truth took place at the main card.

Elias faced Lashley in a ladder match and Buddy Murphy faced Cedric Alexander at the pre-show.

Positives:

The main-event between Asuka, Flair and Lynch was too good. It had high spots with great story-telling. Rousey interfering progressed the storyline between Lynch, Flair and Rousey further.

Styles vs Bryan was a delight to watch. McIntyre and Balor both brought their A-Game at the show. Natalya vs Riott was an exhibition of great storytelling. Rousey and Jax had a decent match at the PPV.

The payoff of Cobin's tyrannical run at the top was a great moment.

Negatives:

The Ambrose vs Rollins match was nothing which was expected from these two. It received a hostile response from the live audience. It could be because of the fact that they followed Bryan and Styles match.

The cruiserweight match on the pre-show deserved to be on the main card. The final of MMC could have been switched for it.
