How Daniel Bryan's return could change the WWE landscape

He's back!

Now that Daniel Bryan has been cleared for in-ring action, things could very well change in WWE, and plans may have to be rearranged.

I don't believe that Bryan returning will change the fact that Roman Reigns will still be pushed as the face of the company since that was the case even before Bryan's injuries began.

However, it does give WWE a pure babyface that almost everyone loves. Listen to his promo on last night's Smackdown and the pop he received when he was making his comeback against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The crowd hasn't been that hot in a while.

Knowing that, it may make WWE take bolder moves like moving Roman Reigns to SmackDown Live and Bryan over to RAW in the Superstar Shakeup that is rumored to be happening soon. They can push Reigns as the face of SmackDown Live and Bryan the face of RAW.

Also, now that Bryan will be returning to the ring, SmackDown Live will need a new authority figure. There are a lot of names that can fill that role. Some names that would be a good fit are Edge and/or Christian, who are synonymous with the Smackdown brand, especially Edge.

We could see someone you wouldn't expect like Mark Henry or Jeff Jarrett, who are both being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next month. It could even be someone out of the blue like Sting, who was an authority figure in Impact Wrestling. This could initiate feuds between a face authority figure and a top to mid-card heel or vice versa.

This also opens up doors for fresh feuds and matches, which WWE desperately needs. Most of these matches are dream matches fans are anxiously awaiting. Just imagine some of these matches: Daniel Bryan vs Sami Zayn, Daniel Bryan vs Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan vs Shinsuke Nakamura, Daniel Bryan vs Finn Balor, Daniel Bryan vs some NXT stars like Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano, who has been compared to Bryan a lot.

One match that may not be a dream match exactly, but one the fans have been itching for since the brand shakeup in 2016 is Daniel Bryan vs The Miz. The feud that has been brewing since the early days of the old NXT. It has been teased so much, and two years later fans still want it. The possibilities are endless.

It might be too early to speculate on what exactly will happen that Bryan is cleared. We still don't know if he wrestles full-time or part-time as of now. There will also be concern over Bryan's health hanging over WWE and in the back of fans' minds.

However, if all goes according to plan and Bryan is able to go full throttle, the landscape of WWE could change and we could see Bryan as WWE or Universal Champion again in the, not too distant future.
