Match Type: Triple threat with Daniel Bryan as special guest referee

15 shocking wrestling couples - Find out now!

Reasoning: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn should not be in the Andre the giant battle royal. They are too big names to enter a bout meant for promoting newer talent. The pairs storyline has revolved around their tension with Shane McMahon for months and so this bout makes the most sense. Having Daniel Bryan feature is also a good way to play on his personal rivalry with Shane O'Mac without risking his health as an in-ring competitor.

Build: Zayn and Owens are currently booked for a match at WrestleMania. However, this makes little sense following their display of solidarity against Shane McMahon. The only time the two have fought one another was when the title was on the line and without that, a match between the two makes little sense. The two should explain this to general manager Daniel Bryan over the next weeks on Smackdown who can tell them his hands are tied as the match is already booked but can add the stipulation that the winner of the match will get a world title match at backlash. This can cause some infighting between Zayn and Owens as they each seek to gain the upper hand with such a big opportunity at sake. To introduce McMahon into the match, he ought to, while disguised, attack both Zayn and Owens separately in the parking lot, following consecutive Smackdowns. Bryan can then expose McMahon as the attacker and McMahon can return to his commissioner role and insert himself into the match. To avoid any further unfairness, Bryan can add himself as the special guest referee late in the day.

Match: Shane McMahon should get battered by the two wrestlers in the match. The pair can unload on the commissioner before trying to steal the win and title opportunity from each other. With the duo distracting each other, McMahon can underhandedly look to gain the win before Bryan intervenes. Ideally, Bryan could hit his running knee on McMahon which hopefully would be okay health-wise as it would only be one low-risk bump. Zayn and Owens can then both see sense, embrace, each hit McMahon with a finisher and then simultaneously pin McMahon to win the match. Bryan can then declare both men the winner and lead a chorus of YES! and YEP! chants

Winner: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
