Could things look worse for Impact Wrestling?

What's the story?

There's never a dull moment with GFW/Impact Wrestling. If they're not changing their name, they're losing talent. Even though there are also exciting days full of promising news, PWInsider reports more stars could leave GFW soon.

In case you didn't know...

GFW has been rebuilding recently and they've made some solid efforts. However, they've lost a couple very talented stars recently.

With reports saying Anthem Sports is considering moving on from GFW, people within the professional wrestling business are starting to worry.

The heart of the matter

PWInsider reports things aren't looking too good for GFW There are reports saying some stars aren't even getting return calls from the Impact Wrestling offices when they have questions.

Jim Cornette and GFW recently parted ways largely due to the fact Impact picked Canada as the location for their next batch of television tapings. Low Ki and Eddie Kingston's deals are set to run out very soon. There are also a few stars rumoured to leave the company in the not too distant future.

What's next?

As GFW continues, they're liable to lose a few more talents along the way. But hopefully, they'll be able to carry on and keep themselves afloat. There's a lot of potential on the roster if they could only figure out a way to turn a profit.

Author's take

GFW used to be a place full of hope, and while the attitude backstage might be positive at times, it seems the looming feeling of uncertainty is rearing its ugly head once more.

With reports saying more workers might be leaving the company very soon some fans could start to wonder if Impact Wrestling is worth their time. After all, it's kind of hard to invest yourself in a product or character if you're not sure whether they'll be around to finish their storyline.
