Impact Wrestling News: Former TNA X-Division champion hospitalized again

DJ Z has been hospitalised again.

What’s the story?

Former TNA X-Division champion DJ Z has reportedly been hospitalized again. A 13-year veteran of the sport, DJ Z took to social media to inform fans, in what’s a brief message, about something being wrong owing to which he’s in the hospital again.

In case you didn’t know...

DJ Z aka Zema Ion, whose real name is Michael Paris, is a Filipino professional wrestler best known for his time with TNA/Impact Wrestling – a promotion that he is presently signed to. The 30-year old has held the TNA X-Division title twice and performs for several indie promotions as well.

The heart of the matter

DJ Z’s most recent visit to the hospital comes barely a month after he reportedly fractured his colon in a match for Konnan’s The Crash promotion in Mexico. He underwent a life-saving surgical procedure on his colon and was back on his feet within a span of 24 hours.

The X-Division competitor is said to have faced another colon-related problem back in 2013 when an emergency appendectomy detected a benign tumour in his colon – something that had to be removed immediately through surgery.

DJ Z’s recent tweet doesn’t mention the exact cause of his hospitalization, but simply states the following:

What’s next?

DJ Z hasn’t clarified whether or not his latest medical issue is related to his ’13 tumor-issue or last month’s colon-fracture. More details on the issue will be revealed in the days to come.
