What’s the story?

Per Showbuzz Daily, this week’s edition of Impact Wrestling has garnered its highest viewership since July of last year.

After drawing the lowest ratings of 2018 last week, Impact Wrestling seems to have bounced back with the highest ratings for its show this year.

In case you didn’t know…

This week’s episode of Impact Wrestling focused on LAX, Laurel Van Ness marrying the Knockouts title belt but getting interrupted by Allie, as well as a few other segments.

The show also featured the return of Taya Valkyrie who cut a promo on Rosemary and proceeded to attack the latter.

The heart of the matter

The primary focus of this week’s edition of Impact Wrestling was the graphic segment featuring Eddie Edwards getting his face busted with a baseball bat, courtesy Sami Callihan.

The segment is said to have been an accident, as Callihan slammed the bat on a steel chair while said chair was placed on top of Edwards.

The baseball bat ricocheted and went on to hit the latter with considerable force; busting him open.

Intriguingly, experts believe that several fans tuned in owing to the baseball bat segment—something that has received considerable coverage ever since the tapings took place.

Author’s take

Impact Wrestling seems to have benefitted from the baseball bat segment.

The segment was pretty brutal, however, is said to be unintentional. Here’s hoping Impact Wrestling can capitalise on this momentum, and regain its former glory.
