What’s the story?
Impact Wrestling has put up a video of AJ Styles getting spanked inside the six-sided ring back in 2003.
Apparently, Impact Wrestling is using the old Styles video, in order to attract fans and have them sign up with the Global Wrestling Network (GWN).
In case you didn’t know…
AJ Styles performed for TNA from 2002-13 and was widely regarded as one of, if not the biggest stars of the promotion.
During his run with TNA, Styles was famously involved in several controversial storylines, including one where he was booked in an angle with a woman named Claire Lynch—till date considered one of the worst storylines in professional wrestling history.
The heart of the matter
Regardless, AJ Styles actively contributed in most of TNA’s main-event storylines, which saw him work alongside highly regarded young talent as well as legends of the game such as Ric Flair, Sting and Dusty Rhodes.
The aforementioned video which is being used by Impact Wrestling in order to promote the Global Wrestling Network, saw Styles famously spanked.
It was during a TNA segment back in 2003 that Dusty Rhodes spanked AJ Styles’ bare bottom, much to the amusement of the fans in attendance.
What’s next?
AJ Styles presently competes for the WWE’s SmackDown brand. On the other hand, Impact Wrestling are seeking to build a new generation of stars within its ranks, with the vast majority of big-name talent having departed the company.

Impact Wrestling seems to be considerably liberal when it comes to using its former stars so as to promote its current product.
Given Styles' highly-publicised bitter departure from the company, it does come as a bit of a surprise that TNA would use his footage to draw fans to its product. For fans of the Phenomenal One, this video may come as a bit of a mirthful reminder!
