What’s the story?

Jeff Jarrett was probed by the Tennessean about his departure from Impact Wrestling, but, he refrained from directly addressing the same.

Nevertheless, Jarrett issued a brief statement concerning his future in the professional wrestling business assuring that he isn’t leaving the industry anytime soon.

In case you didn’t know…

Jeff Jarrett along with his father Jerry Jarrett founded TNA back in 2002, and was an integral part of the company for a considerable amount of time.

Jarrett, who parted ways with TNA a few years ago, founded GFW in 2014. He returned to TNA after Dixie Carter sold the company a few months ago, and merged GFW with TNA -- although the aforementioned merger was never made official.

The heart of the matter

Jeff Jarrett has been making headlines over the past few days not only due to his TNA exit being made official, but also owing to him allegedly cancelling an appearance for an indie promotion. The promotion alleged that he acted unprofessionally and arrived at its show in an inebriated state.

When questioned about him parting ways with Impact Wrestling, Jarrett said, "I've spent 31 years in the wrestling business…I'm not getting out of the wrestling business."

Furthermore, Jarrett has publicly claimed that Impact-parent company (Anthem Sports & Entertainment) has run out of funds, alluding that to be a factor in his ouster from the company.

What’s next?

Jeff Jarrett presently performs on the indie circuit. Whether or not he continues his career as a wrestler and wrestling promoter remains to be seen.

Author’s take

We’ve got to understand that Jarrett’s deal of merging GFW with Impact Wrestling was never made official.

And considering that, we could very well see him back in the thick of things with his Global Force Wrestling company, now that he has officially called it quits with Impact Wrestling.
