What’s the story?

Multiple star names have reportedly been removed from the Impact Wrestling ‘active roster’.

A former WWE Superstar, TNA original as well as a few other names have been officially cast off the roster by Impact Wrestling.

In case you didn’t know..

Impact Wrestling—formerly known as TNA—went through a highly-publicised change of regime a few months ago as longtime owner Dixie Carter sold off the promotion to Anthem Sports & Entertainment.

Following which, the new management, helmed by Anthem exec Ed Nordholm has brought about considerable changes in the organisation, which has witnessed the departures of several established stars, while welcoming newer talent.

The heart of the matter

Impact Wrestling has removed several stars from the list of its active roster, namely Mahabali Shera, former WWE Superstar Hornswoggle (aka Swoggle in Impact), Alisha Edwards and The Veterans of War (Mayweather & Wilcox).

Shera, who was signed to the promotion with much fanfare and recently won the SONY SIX Invitational trophy during Impact Wrestling’s tour of India, has officially been taken off the company’s roster. Furthermore, Alisha Edwards (Eddie Edwards’ spouse) has also been cast off the list.

What’s next?

Impact Wrestling continues it odyssey toward a new era for the company, helmed by new owners. Sportskeeda will keep fans updated on the status of the promotion and changes to its roster, if any.

Author’s take

Impact Wrestling is going through a rather rough transition phase and whether or not it returns to former glory remains to be seen. Here’s wishing the best to the aforementioned stars who have now (officially) bid adieu to the six-sided ring.
