Former IWGP Tag Champions debut; Moose dominates in the IMPACT Wrestling main event

IMPACT Wrestling No Surrender was a spectacular event with several top-tier title matches, not to mention the surprising announcement of NJPW's FinJuice, Juice Robinson, and David Finlay who would be debuting tonight. The X-Division Championship was also on the line, as Josh Alexander, the new Mo.1 Contender, would battle TJP for the gold.

All that, plus the fallout from the main event of No Surrender. Moose attacked Rich Swann and Tommy Dreamer after the IMPACT Wrestling World Title Match. With Swann not around this week, Tommy Dreamer vowed to make Mr. IMPACT Wrestling pay.

Before IMPACT Wrestling, AXSTV debuted the brand new show Bring The IMPACT, a one-hour preview show of the weekly wrestling program. However, it also featured a match between Decay and XXXL, with Decay picking up the first win on BTI.

What kicked off IMPACT Wrestling this week? Well, at No Surrender, Josh Alexander won the first-ever Triple Threat Revolver Match, earning him a shot at the X-Division Championship. He would get his opportunity tonight. TJP also had an intense war at No Surrender, as he was taken to the limit by Rohit Raju. Just three nights later, could he retain against The Walking Weapon of IMPACT Wrestling?

IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Championship Match: Josh Alexander vs TJP (c)

TJP looked to bring down the former IMPACT Wrestling Tag team Champion with his mat prowess. Josh Alexander easily defended it early on in the bout, refusing to give TJP any ground on various submission attempts.

It was a stalemate, with two of the best mat wrestlers in the company going at it. TJP's first major mistake was a springboard attempt, allowing Josh Alexander to snatch him out of the air for a backbreaker. Alexander then worked over the ankle with a heel hook.

TJP attempted to escape Alexander's grasp, but the big man was able to go counter-for-counter, eventually leading to an ankle lock into a powerbomb. TJP managed to catch him with a triangle choke, but Alexander stood up, taking TJP to the corner and slingshotting him face-first into the second turnbuckle.

Alexander went after TJP's shoulders next but was caught in an abdominal stretch. TJP sent him to the floor for a triangle dropkick to the outside. Back in the ring, a flying crossbody took the challenger down. The IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champ followed that with a tornado DDT.

Next up was the senton bomb, but Alexander rolled away. TJP made it to the apron but was caught by Alexander's sliding crossbody through the ropes. Alexander attempted to follow up in the ring but was caught driving with a dropkick from the champion.

TJP avoided another ankle lock and rocked Alexander with a roundhouse, but the Mamba Splash attempted was stopped. Alexander rushed him, looking for an avalanche double under hook suplex. TJP countered, sending Alexander to the mat. The Mamba Splash was blocked, though, and Alexander quickly locked in the ankle lock.

TJP crawled and scratched at the mat just trying to get to the rope, forcing Alexander to break the hold. TJP dumped Alexander on his head with a high-angle back suplex. A running boot was blocked, with TJP rocking him with the Detonation Kick. After that, the Mamba Splash connected, giving TJP what some would consider an upset victory.

Results: TJP defeated Josh Alexander via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.

Mean Gia Miller met Tommy Dreamer as he was leaving Scott D'Amore's office. Dreamer said that the IMPACT Wrestling World Champion wasn't here for Moose to beat down, so tonight Dreamer will step in for him in an Old School Rules Match.

The Most Professional Wrestler of IMPACT Wrestling met Hernandez backstage, handing Super Mex the money owed for securing their win at No Surrender. Hernandez was offered more cash to take out Matt Cardona tonight, which Hernandez assured would happen.

Fallah Bahh came in, looking for a loan to get back into Swinger Palace. He promised to turn $20 into $40, but Hernandez only gave him $10.

Daivari vs Willie Mack vs Suicide vs Trey Miguel on IMPACT Wrestling

Daivari, Suicide, and Trey Miguel rushed former IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champion Willie Mack, looking to take out the big man early. After that, Daivari was sent to the floor, leaving Trey and Suicide in the ring with one another.

Willie Mack got back into the fray, only to be sent to the floor by Suicide. Trey met the same fate, leaving Suicide to go for a dive. Daivari put a stop to it, shoving him from the top rope into the mat and launching his spine first into the corner.

A superplex was blocked, giving Mack the chance to plant Daivari with a sit-out powerbomb. Suicide dove, but was caught in a Samoan Drop. Trey Miguel was next and was slammed right next to Suicide for the standing moonasult. Mack pinned both men, but couldn't get the win.

A beautiful missile dropkick from Trey took Mack out, and the former Rascalz member followed up with the diving Meteora on Suicide to get the win.

Results: Trey Miguel defeated Suicide via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.

Trey Miguel defeated three former IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champions tonight, keeping his momentum going strong. After the match, he ran into former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Sami Callihan backstage.

The Draw said that when it comes to the big matches, Miguel can't make it work. He won tonight, but he lost at No Surrender where he needed it most. The fact of the matter is, Trey doesn't have any passion.

Scott D'Amore was congratulating IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champion TJP for another successful title defense when they were interrupted by Ace Austin. The 2021 X-Cup Winner demanded a shot at the gold but was told instead that he'd be involved in a six-man tag next week, with the winning team facing off in a triple threat. The winner would get their opportunity against TJP.

Hernandez w/Brian Myers vs Matt Cardona on IMPACT Wrestling

Hernandez shoved Matt Cardona to the mat but was caught flush with a standing dropkick. The former IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champion was stunned, rolling out to get some assistance from Brian Myers.

Cardona sent him to the floor again and hit a fantastic dive. However, the ref was distracted by Myers, allowing Hernandez to pop Cardona up into a low blow as we cut to the break.

Back to the action, Cardona was firing upon Super Mex only to be cut off by a massive shoulder tackle. Cardona escaped the Border Toss and hit Radio Silence for the win. No extra money for Hernandez.

Results: Matt Cardona defeated Hernandez via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.

Gia Miller interviewed Matt Cardona after the match, but Brian Myers came in to ruin the fun, asking why his former friend was "copying him." Cardona was blindsided by Hernandez but was saved by Eddie Edwards.

IMPACT Wrestling was interrupted by another paid advertisement from AEW President Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone. Khan said he didn't get anything for Valentine's Day, but he was here to give IMPACT Wrestling what they've always wanted; money. In fact, this was considered a charitable donation.

Havok ran into Nevaeh backstage. At IMPACT Wrestling No Surrender, they failed to capture the Knockouts Tag Team Titles. Nevaeh was frustrated about her team losing again, but Havok was ready to forgive her.

Tenille Dashwood interrupted, applying to be the new tag team partner for Havok. Nevaeh challenged her to a match to prove that she could get the job done, without Havok by her side.

Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) vs Juice Robinson and David Finlay on IMPACT Wrestling

David Finlay wrapped up with Luster the Legend, bringing Luster to his corner for a series of tag team maneuvers. FinJuice hit a series of strikes and a double bulldog, but Finlay wound up in a spot of trouble after a nasty one-handed spinebuster.

Thornstowe was in next, giving Reno Scum the chance to take over. The elbow drop/headbutt combo failed when Finlay rolled away, tagging in Juice Robinson. Juice came in like a house of fire, rocking both men. A big clothesline and running senton combo took Thornstowe down for a two-count.

Juice went for his finish, but was rocked with a boot by boot from Luster. Reno Scum went for the diving Curb Stomp, but Finlay broke it up. As Juice got rid of Luster, Finlay took Thornstowe over with a superplex. Juice followed that with the frog splash for the win.

Results: Juice Robinson and David Finlay defeated Reno Scum via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.

The Good Brothers came out soon after the match, congratulating "The Boys" for making it to "a new territory." The IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions ran down their glory days, with young guys like Finlay and Juice being there to carry their luggage.

The new guys didn't back down, and took up the champs on their offer to go drinking.

Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera were at the bar, with Raju blaming Shera for losing the X-Division Championship Match at IMPACT Wrestling No Surrender. Shera pushed him away, sending him into James Storm.

The Cowboy bashed a bottle over Raju's head, leading to a staredown between the former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion and Shera. Johnny Swinger came in, leading Chris Sabin and Storm to Swinger's Palace.

Backstage at IMPACT Wrestling, James Storm and Chris Sabin arrived at Swinger's Palace. They sat down at the poker table where Fallah Bahh was once again kicked out after losing his latest $10. Tenille Dashwood w/Kaleb with a K vs Nevaeh on IMPACT Wrestling

Nevaeh picked up first blood, getting a near fall with a crucifix pin attempt. Dashwood was bounced off the ring post, crumbling to the floor as Kaleb with a K checked on her. After failing twice to capture IMPACT Wrestling gold, Nevaeh needed the win tonight.

A snapmare/drlpkick combination rocked Dashwood, sending her to the apron. In the ropes, Dashwood was able to catch Nevaeh and turn things around. Dashwood set up for her Spotlight Kick but the boot failed to connect.

The sidewalk slam and STO connected, and Nevaeh followed up with a sliding bulldog. A wheelbarrow facebuster earned Nevaeh a two-count. Dashwood did manage to catch Nevaeh with the Taste of Tenille, though, and finally hit her with the Spotlight Kick.

Results: Tenille Dashwood defeated Nevaeh via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.

At IMPACT No Surrender, Jake Something beat Deaner. However, Violent By Design sent him careening through a table. Deaner said that Jake didn't win at No Surrender, the "sickness" did.

Next week, Deaner will face Jake in a Tables Match. He'll do it alone, and if he fails then he'll suffer the consequences. Knowing the former IMPACT Wrestling Champion Eric Young, they would be intense.

Old School Rules: Moose vs Tommy Dreamer on IMPACT Wrestling

Though the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship was on his radar, Moose had some business to finish tonight with Tommy Dreamer. The Landlord of the House of Hardcore brought Moose to the floor where, in most matches, he had the advantage. After biting him, Dreamer bashed Moose with a steel pan and chair.

Back from the break, though, Moose had taken over. Wrapping a steel chair around Dreamer's neck, he sent the former ECW Champion into the ring post. Mr. IMPACT Wrestling hammered Dreamer with the pan before launching him into a steel trash can. Dreamer struggled to move, let alone get to his feet.

Moose brought him up to his feet and hit a picture-perfect standing dropkick for a two-count. Dreamer clawed Moose below the belt and dropped him with the Dreamer Cutter. Moose kicked out at one. Dreamer followed that up with shots with the chair, but the DDT was countered with an STO into the chair.

Moose set up a table in the corner but was surprised by Tommy Dreamer, spearing him through the wood. A Singapore cane was picked up by Dreamer, who lit Moose up, and it seemed he'd be able to win the IMPACT Wrestling main event. The self-proclaimed "Future IMPACT Wrestling World Champion" shook them off, though, spiking him with the Uranage Slam. The Lights Out Spear cut Dreamer in half.

Results: Moose defeated Tommy Dreamer via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.
