Scott D'Amore was congratulating IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champion TJP for another successful title defense when they were interrupted by Ace Austin. The 2021 X-Cup Winner demanded a shot at the gold but was told instead that he'd be involved in a six-man tag next week, with the winning team facing off in a triple threat. The winner would get their opportunity against TJP.

Hernandez w/Brian Myers vs Matt Cardona on IMPACT Wrestling

Hernandez shoved Matt Cardona to the mat but was caught flush with a standing dropkick. The former IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champion was stunned, rolling out to get some assistance from Brian Myers.

Cardona sent him to the floor again and hit a fantastic dive. However, the ref was distracted by Myers, allowing Hernandez to pop Cardona up into a low blow as we cut to the break.

Back to the action, Cardona was firing upon Super Mex only to be cut off by a massive shoulder tackle. Cardona escaped the Border Toss and hit Radio Silence for the win. No extra money for Hernandez.

Results: Matt Cardona defeated Hernandez via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.

Grade: C

Gia Miller interviewed Matt Cardona after the match, but Brian Myers came in to ruin the fun, asking why his former friend was "copying him." Cardona was blindsided by Hernandez but was saved by Eddie Edwards.
