What’s the story?
Former Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion DJZ was hospitalised after a match in Mexico City this Wednesday.
The exact reason for the same and the extent of his injury are yet unknown. He had been wrestling for the Crash promotion in Mexico and things went awry after a 450 splash. He posted a video update on his condition as well.
In case you didn’t know...
DJZ has had his share of medical issues in the past. DJZ embarked on a career as a DJ, following a growth in his bladder which was non-cancerous, but one that stopped him from wrestling inside the squared circle.
He even started a GiveFoward campaign to meet his medical expenses.
The heart of the matter
During the match that DJZ was involved in, he was part of a 450-splash that went wrong and immediately after, felt like he had his wind knocked out of him. Unfortunately, he was unable to stand up after the match and medical staff was immediately called for.

In his video update, DJZ stated that he thinks he broke a rib, and immediately vomited his guts out soon after. DJZ stated that he thought he was 'dying' and was 'turning pale'.
