Trevor Lee is a man of few words!
Trevor Lee is a man of few words!

GFW Superstar Trevor Lee is exhausted from the bumps and bruises that he endured at PWG's Battle of Los Angeles over the weekend. Therefore, he is exhausted when I conduct this interview, and his answers are curt, short and very much, to the point.

One of the most promising names in the X-Division, Lee lets his in-ring moves do the talking. We had a short but fun conversation, and here are some of the highlights.

#1- Hey, Trevor. How're you doing right now?

Trevor Lee: Doing pretty good. Just got back from BOLA this weekend. Battle of Los Angeles. Just a little-tired.

#2- So how did that go, compared to the other years?

Trevor Lee: It was a good one.

#3- You've already achieved so much in so little time. And you're only 24 years old. What more could we expect from you, in the years to come?

Trevor Lee: Not sure. Hopefully more though, right? (Laughs) Longevity hopefully. I just want to keep doing it. Just want to keep my name out there and keep accomplishing stuff, I guess.

#4- How was the Carolina Caveman gimmick born?

Trevor Lee: It was something that was given to me at the PWG shows. Something about the way I move and everything. They just called me that and it stuck.

#5- Who's your favourite GFW opponent?

Trevor Lee: I enjoy working in GFW. My favourite opponent here is DJZ. He hasn't been here in a while but he's probably my favourite opponent there.

#6- How does the return of Petey Williams impact the X-Division?

Trevor Lee: It's cool. Cool to have the guys who started the X-Division, back in the X-Division. but you know...nothing changes because I'm still going to be the top guy in the X-Division.

#7- How was it working with Shane Helms? And how does his departure affect the company?

Trevor Lee: I loved working with Shane. It was always great working with him. He has a lot of knowledge. He's always a funny cat. Unfortunately, he had to leave the company but stuff like that happens.

#8- How was it coming to India? How different was the audience as compared to The United States?

Trevor Lee: It was really cool coming to India. I've never been there. I've never been able to see that part of the world, experience that type of stuff. The crowds were awesome. They were very loud so it was very cool. So, it's always great to perform in front of people that just make noise.

#9- So let's talk about you now. Who really inspired you to become a wrestler?

Trevor Lee: The Hardy Boyz, growing up. My dad started a company with Matt back in the day. So the wrestling's always been there. I've been able to watch it, see it, be around it. They were the main reason.

#10- What's your take on Eli Drake as the face of the brand?

Trevor Lee: I think it's cool to have him as the face of the brand. He's got a good look, he can talk great, he works good, he's a good guy. I mean you gotta have somebody in that spot.

#11- What do you think of the X-Division guys wrestling the heavyweights? Is there any heavyweight you have your eyes on?

Trevor Lee: You know I'd love to face Bobby Lashley sometime in the future. The whole X-Division vs. heavyweight thing, I don't know what that means. So, every match you see now is an X-Division match. Every match has taken from the X-Division style. I'm 225 lbs. I'm not an X-Division guy. I'm a guy in the X-Division.

So pairing up with heavyweights, it's not that far from me. So I'd love to wrestle Bobby Lashley, I'd love to wrestle Eli Drake, I'd love to wrestle any of those guys. Just because we could tear it up. I believe I can tear it up with anybody.

#12- We saw you align yourself with Caleb Konley recently. Can we see you in a tag team environment soon?

Trevor Lee: I don't necessarily want to be in a tag team environment. I just want people to watch my back.

#13- I was told to ask the secret of your silky smooth hair (Laughter)

Trevor Lee (laughs): Honestly, I don't know. I just haven't cut it in a long time. It just keeps growing. I just keep it up all the time when it comes down, it's luxurious. (laughs) .

#14- Final question. Any message for your fans, around the world?

Trevor Lee: Just keep watching. Just keep supporting. That's all we need from you guys. Just to keep the support up and we'll keep doing what we can do.
