On Monday Night RAW's most recent episode, Seth Rollins fell victim to a brutal attack at the hands of Bronson Reed. The Visionary was not only taken by surprise but he was also taken to the hospital after Reed delivered six Tsunamis to Rollins, who began coughing up blood.
Since this segment took place on RAW, many are wondering if the injury is legitimate. The answer to this question is yes, but partly. As per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rollins has been written off TV to cover up for a real injury.
"SummerSlam would make you think they’re going with Rollins vs. Punk or a three-way with McIntyre, but they did an injury angle with Rollins destroyed on Raw by Bronson Reed. Rollins will be out for a while. The injury angles on Raw with Rollins and Dakota Kai were to cover for real injuries. Rollins is cleared but is still banged up and is trying to get in the best physical condition."
He further added:
"His issues are chronic but not at the point to getting flagged. He's trying to stay ahead of the things so will be taking a little time off. We’re not sure if he’ll be back for the PPV or not, but if he is, it would now seem to be with Reed and not with Punk, which makes the Punk finish even more just a way to get out of a match and having Punk lose. Although they no doubt will get to Punk vs. Rollins at some point."
A potential rivalry between Seth Rollins and CM Punk has to be carried out at some point due to the animosity they have for each other. After all, when Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series, Rollins was arguably the most frustrated man seeing The Second City Saint.
Bronson Reed revealed why he attacked Seth Rollins on RAW
When Bronson Reed launched an attack on Seth Rollins on Monday Night RAW, it surprised many in the WWE Universe. Since Rollins was involved in the CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre saga, not many expected Reed to suddenly crop up and do what he did to The Architect on the red brand.
After the conclusion of RAW, Bronson Reed, in an interview, explained his actions. Reed said that he carried out this attack on Seth Rollins to prove to everyone that he was one of the very best in the business. The 2024 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner said:
"You already know why. I have been telling the whole world that I am one of the best in this business week after week, and its falling on deaf ears. Tonight, I did what I had to do. I crushed one of WWE’s golden boys. I hit Tsunami after Tsunami after Tsunami on [Seth] Rollins to show you all that I am not here to play around. The killer is unleashed and Bronson Reed is at the very top of this business."
With this attack, there is no doubt that Reed has made quite a big statement on the red brand. However, it will be interesting to see how the Australian deals with Seth Rollins once he is back.
