John Cena has been riding a massive wave of momentum since he turned heel and captured his 17th WWE World Championship, beating Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 Night Two. However, the Last Real Champion’s reign might be shorter than expected, as he might end up losing his title at Night of Champions 2025, but not to CM Punk.

On this week's RAW, John Cena cut a promo demanding real competition. Meanwhile, CM Punk came out to issue a challenge to Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship. While The Cenation Leader accepted The Best in the World's challenge, he said the match would happen at Night of Champions. To spice things up even more, Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins, also showed up.

Upon his arrival, Rollins teased cashing in his MITB contract at Night of Champions. In a shocking twist, in the ending moments of Cena vs. Punk, Seth Rollins could show up and cash in his contract, turning the contest into a Triple Threat affair. He could end up pinning one of the competitors, capturing the Undisputed WWE Title in the process.

Rollins' potential victory could end the Last Real Champion’s 17th world title reign in Riyadh. This could make The Visionary the biggest heel on the roster and establish his faction as the most dominant group in the company. That said, the angle proposed above is speculative, and nothing has been confirmed.

Former WWE employee says Seth Rollins winning the MITB contract wasn’t the right decision

On Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, former WWE writer Vince Russo said that Bronson Reed or Bron Breakker should have won the 2025 Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match instead of Seth Rollins.

"Seth Rollins, we’ve been down this road a million times. How much better would it have been if either Breakker or Bronson were in it and won it. I don’t know how they are missing things that just slap you across the face." [From 18:47 onwards]
