John Cena turns screen chameleon with role in new comedy 'Sisters'

John Cena’s last film ‘Trainwreck’

John Cena is no stranger to the big screen and is set to appear on it once again, with the WWE star landing a role in the upcoming film ‘Sisters’, alongside comedy queens Tina Fey and Amy Poehler – reports dailywrestlingnews.

The 38-year-old, who stars as drug dealer Pazuzu in ‘Sisters’, has left no stone unturned when it comes to promoting the film, and took to social networking site Twitter to urge his fans to give his latest film a watch.

Cena got his first taste of Hollywood way back in 2000 in the form of the film ‘Ready to Rumble’, where he appeared as an uncredited extra before taking centre stage in big budget films like The Marine, 12 Rounds and Legendary – the first two having performed well at the box office despite gaining negative reviews.

After his rather lukewarm Hollywood career, Cena must be surely hoping that he gets his first major hit in the form of Sisters even though he’s amongst the supporting cast.

One thing that will surely stand in the way of Cena’s fans giving his film a watch is the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which has gained massively positive reviews and looks set to be one of the best films of the year and possibly in the whole franchise.
