The upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown is set to emanate live from Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. The show is already advertising Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena making an appearance. Additionally, Cody Rhodes is also set to be part of this week's blue brand show.
On RAW this week, WWE kickstarted the qualifying rounds of the King of the Ring tournament, and this is set to continue in the forthcoming episode of Friday night show. Besides this, many storylines are expected to progress as the WWE Universe counts down to the next premium live event, Night of Champions.
In this article, we will discuss four things that could happen in this week's edition of the blue brand.

#4. LA Knight might be out of the WWE King of the Ring tournament
LA Knight is set to clash with Randy Orton, Aleister Black, and Carmelo Hayes in a Fatal Four-Way match on Friday. The winner of this bout will face Sami Zayn in the next round of the KOTR tournament.
However, The Megastar might be ruled out of this high-profile bout after Seth Rollins and his faction launch a backstage attack on him during SmackDown. The former United States Champion attacked The Visionary's faction on the recent editiin of RAW, which led to Sami emerging as the victor over Bron Breakker and others.
Seeking vengeance for this, Rollins' villainous faction may show up on SmackDown and take out LA Knight. This could lead to the 42-year-old star getting taken out of the qualifying match.
#3. Tonga Loa may return and turn on Solo Sikoa
WWE Money in the Bank 2025 witnessed a drastic change in the Bloodline saga when Jacob Fatu officially turned against Solo Sikoa and cost him the MITB briefcase. Meanwhile, it's been a long time since Tonga Loa has been seen in the Stamford-based promotion.
Hence, if Tonga had recovered sufficiently and returns to SmackDown in the upcoming show, fans may see him turn against Solo, too. The former tag team champion may prefer to side with The Samoan Werewolf and hence not hesitate to betray the former NXT North American Champion.
#2. Tiffany Stratton might lose her championship via Naomi's cash-in
Tiffany Stratton is the reigning WWE Women's Champion, but Buff Barbie must be extra cautious on the blue brand as Naomi has the MITB briefcase. It's important to note that The Glow is part of the Friday night show, and she may attempt to take the title from Tiffany at any opportune moment.
In a surprising twist, fans could see Stratton losing her title on the upcoming SmackDown when the real-life Bloodline member possibly cashes-in her briefcase.
This twist could be a great way to bring up fresh storylines in the women's division under Nick Aldis' regime.
#1. The Usos may officially reunite on WWE SmackDown
Jey Uso is no longer the World Heavyweight Champion after he lost the gold to Gunther on RAW after MITB. According to reports, there are plans for the reunion of The Usos following The YEET Master's loss.
So, in the forthcoming edition of SmackDown, the WWE Universe may see thTe Usos getting reunited officially. If not a complete reunion, the Stamford-based promotion may plant seeds for a future reunion of the Samoan twins.
