Shayna Baszler has aligned herself in recent weeks with WWE official Sonya Deville on Friday Night Smackdown.
Deville has been engaged in a long-running feud with Naomi, with the heel authority figure utilizing Baszler as back up on several occasions on the blue brand.
When asked about her partnership with Deville in WWe, The Queen of Spades simply stated that it was all about the money:
"I'm going to get paid. Really at the end of the day, that's what it's about, right? So everybody has a price. Sonya happens to be holding the wallet right now."
One must wonder if the benefits of serving as back-up for Sonya Deville could lead to future Women's Championship opportunities for Baszler in the future.
#3 Shayna Baszler singles out RAW's Rhea Ripley ahead of WWE Survivor Series elimination match
THe Queen of Spades will line-up on Team SmackDown against Team RAW in a traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination at the aforementioned pay-per-view.
When asked which names on Team RAW she was looking forward to facing off against, Baszler singled out former NXT rival Rhea Ripley:
"Well, obviously, Rhea Ripley and I have a score to settle. At least in my mind. Just from all the way back from NXT. That's some business I'd like to get back. Honestly, when you look at both brands, all the members on each team are very viable competitors. So not to say that I'm not going to be on the lookout or willing to tear limbs off of anyone, but for sure, I got to have that. Whether it's [at] Survivor Series or somewhere else. I've got to get that back," Baszler said.
Rhea Ripley defeated Baszler to capture the WWE NXT Women's Championship in December 2019. It would appear that Shayna hasn't forgotten and is looking to settle the score.
