WWE signed CJ Perry (FKA Lana) in 2013 and paired her up with her ex-husband Miro, formerly known as Rusev. She was with the company for eight years and was released on June 2, 2021, as the Stamford-based promotion let go of many stars due to the COVID-19-related budget cuts.
The 39-year-old made her AEW debut at All Out 2023 and parted ways with the company this past July. Perry recently took to her Instagram stories and stated that she'd be investing more in Netflix's stocks when WWE RAW transitioned to the streaming giant in January 2025. This sparked speculation among fans about her possible return to the company.
Here are four directions for CJ Perry (FKA Lana) if she returns to WWE:
A top AEW star has fired back at his critics HERE.
#4. The erstwhile Lana could join The Judgment Day
The Judgment Day is one of the most popular factions in WWE. The top female star in it is Liv Morgan, who is a very close friend of CJ Perry.
If the erstwhile Lana returns to the Stamford-based promotion, an alliance with the Women's World Champion would make sense. This is because they also worked together in the past, as Liv Morgan returned after a long hiatus in 2019 and revealed herself as Perry's lover during The Ravishing Russian's wedding with Bobby Lashley on RAW.
Triple H could revive the romantic angle if the former Lana joins The Judgment Day, making it edgier as RAW is expected to go TV-14 on Netflix.
#3. CJ Perry could be a contender for midcard titles
WWE recently introduced the Women's United States and Intercontinental Championships. This move would surely make the women's division in the company stronger and put more spotlight on the midcard stars.
But the company also needs a variety of talents in the midcard scene across RAW and SmackDown to keep it interesting.
The erstwhile Lana returning to compete for one of those titles would add more to the division. Perry is not the best of wrestlers, but she could help elevate other talents by taking frequent losses.
#2. She could have a reunion with Naomi
One of the WWE Superstars CJ Perry had good chemistry with was Naomi. They feuded for the SmackDown Women's Championship in 2017 and then formed a tag team a couple of months before the 39-year-old's release.
The Sports Entertainment juggernaut may have to break several tag teams to create new contenders for the Women's United States and Intercontinental Titles. However, such a move could weaken the tag team division.
The promotion may have to sign some female stars and call up new names from NXT to keep things balanced in both divisions. The former Lana returning to reunite with Naomi would add a decent duo to the women's tag team division.
#1. CJ Perry could manage Andrade in WWE
CJ Perry found her first client in AEW in the form of Andrade last year. Their pairing did not last long, as she turned on El Idolo to help Miro at the 2023 Worlds End PPV.
Andrade returned to WWE earlier this year. He may reunite with Lana if she returns to the global juggernaut. The former United States Champion can do a lot better with a mouthpiece, as English is not his first language.
The SmackDown Superstar is great in the ring and having a proper manager may finally help him become a main event talent.
