The results from the WWE Live Event that took place in Milan on 13/4/2016 are in and here’s what went down at the show.
Cesaro beat Stardust with a Sharpshooter
- It is reported that Cesaro’s fan following has grown hugely. Cesaro was very over with Milan fans and he was reported to be in better shape too.
Erick Rowan beat Jack Swagger
- Jack Swagger was also reported to be over with the fans. If only WWE could put Swagger into a meaningful program, they could reap the rewards considerably. Unfortunately for Swagger, he has been relegated to glorified jobber position.
Sin Cara beat Tyler Breeze
- The match was reported to be very entertaining. Ah! The irony of it. The Prince of Cuteville’s impressive losing streak continue. If this carries on he will become the next “Goldberg”, albeit in a different way.
WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day beat Rusev and Sheamus
- The reaction for this match was less as expected. WWE had did this matchup far too many times. The League of Nations need some string of impressive victories behind them for the fans to consider them even a legitimate threat.
Kane beat Braun Strowman by disqualification.
- Another run off the mill match. Looks like Strowman’s huge push has come to a halt.
The Usos beat The Dudley Boyz
- The match was reported to be very entertaining. These two teams have huge chemistry and it was reported to be showcased well here.
WWE Women's Champion Charlotte retained over Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks
- It was another classic match. As expected, Becky and Sasha Banks were very over with the fans. Charlotte generated a good bit of heat heading into this match.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt ends in a No Contest
Bray Wyatt suffered an injury during this match. As per the report, when they were in the corner the referee warned them to break and Wyatt backed off. As he backed off, he slipped and fell to the mat. Bray tried to continue but was unable to stand. Immediately, the match was called off.
WWE improvised a bit here and threw in a “One versus All” scenario. Reigns tried to fend off both Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan. The Usos made the save, leading the Dudley Boyz to emerge and lay out them. Reigns speared Bubba Ray Dudley through a table to end the segment.
It was reported that Bray Wyatt was in such serious pain that Reigns broke character looked concerned for his fellow wrestler.
