Matt Hardy reveals he is ‘going through a tough, confusing period of life’

Former RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy has thanked his fans for their support while also revealing that he is not particularly going through a good period in his life right now.

Following this week's episode of RAW, Hardy took to Twitter to thank the fans for their support and also revealed that he is going through a tough phase in his life at the moment.

"Thanks for all the love from around the world regarding my #RAW appearance tonight.. I AM GRATEFUL. I'm going through a tough, confusing period of life right now & I appreciate your support.”

While fans may have been expecting him to return with his Woken gimmick, it wasn’t the case as he appeared as ‘normal’ Matt Hardy. He did, however, make the delete gesture before trying to hit Buddy Murphy with a Twist of Fate.

Earlier this year, in the SmackDown episode after WrestleMania, Matt, alongside his brother Jeff, won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. But they had to vacate the titles later as Jeff Hardy severely injured his knee.

After that, Matt Hardy participated in the Super ShowDown Battle Royal in Saudi Arabia but that was the last time he appeared on WWE TV before last night’s RAW episode, where he took on Buddy Murphy in a match that he lost quickly.
