WWE News: Matt Hardy talks about Jeff Hardy and possibly signing with the WWE

Broken Matt Hardy
What does the future holds for Matt’s ‘Broken’ Universe?

Amidst of all the talks of WWE wanting to sign Matt Hardy once his TNA contract expires, the former ECW champion has spoken up about whether or not he would like to go to WWE.

During his recent interview with Sports Illustrated Matt was asked if he would jump ships and go to WWE after his contract expires to which former WWE star replied by saying that he is able to live in his 'Boken Universe at TNA and he doesn't know whether or not he trusts the "Meekmahan'. He said:

"I am very content at Impact Wrestling. I don't know if I trust that Meekmahan, or if he'll try to stifle my broken brilliance. I'm able to live in my broken universe here at Impact Wrestling to the fullest extent, and Impact Wrestling needs me as their savior, so I'll do everything I can to help them grow. They've had many setbacks in the last few years, but things are changing. I don't have an end game. Being a celestial being, I live for the moment to fight the Great War, and that is to light the darkness. Right now, I'm able to do that at Impact Wrestling."

Talking about whether he feels jealous of the success of his younger brother Jeff Hardy, Matt said that there were times when he wished that he would get the same treatment by fans as Jeff does but now he wants to successful on his own:

I noticed there is something very unique about Brother Nero. People are drawn to him, and he has intangibles and charisma that cannot be emulated or duplicated. At first, there were times when I felt, 'I wish I got the same treatment as Brother Nero,' but as time went on, I just wanted to be successful on my own. A career is not a sprint, it's a long race, so whenever he held the title of the world, I was very happy for him, and I always will be"

When asked about the historic TLC match between the Hardy Boyz, Edge and Christian, and The Dudleys which is still remembered to be one of the prime moments of the Attitude Era, the former TNA World heavyweight Champion said that that match turned them into 'Stunt Monkeys’:

"One of the things I have had to focus on, in order to move forward, is not being a stunt monkey. Edge, Christian, myself, Brother Nero, and the Dudleys battled in the TLC matches, and they were revolutionary. Those matches helped establish us, but in many ways, turned us into 'spot monkeys.'"

It's notable here that recent reports suggest that Triple H is interested in signing Matt Hardy once again and he has also sent feelers to the former WWE star regarding this.
