In this week's episode of WWE NXT, Rhea Ripley was supposed to face Dakota Kai who turned her back on Ripley's team at NXT TakeOver: WarGames by attacking her best friend Tegan Nox. Although The Nightmare won the match despite having a situational disadvantage, she wanted to exact revenge on Kai for her actions.
However, that match did not take place as Ripley came out to the stage and allowed Mia Yim to give a beatdown to Kai. Yim was also taken out of Ripley's team for WarGames by an unknown attacker and on tonight's episode, Kai revealed that she was the one behind the attack.
The heated brawl between Kai and Yim ensued all over the NXT Arena and even continued backstage as is evident by the video that WWE released. In the video, it can be seen that Kai was subjected to a brutal beatdown by The HBIC and later got away through the back after she shoved an unnamed woman onto Yim.
Mia Yim to face Dakota Kai next week
To settle matters between Mia Yim and Dakota Kai, a match has been announced between the two Superstars for next week's episode of NXT. It remains to be seen now if Yim will get her retribution on Kai or whether The Captain of Team Kick will inflict the same level of pain that she did to her once best friend Tegan Nox.
