Kofi Kingston will defend the WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at Money in the Bank. Kingston won the most coveted prize of the blue brand at WM 35, and it has been a fruitful journey for the champion. Kingston has been a fighting champion, and as a matter of fact, he has defended the belt twice since the introduction of the wild card rule.

Following an injury to Big E, Owens joined the New Day. However, it took him just one week to turn on Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. The former Universal Champion is a remarkable bad guy and he has rejuvenated himself since turning heel.

Both Kingston and Owens are exceptional performers in the squared circle, and they are expected to tear the house down at Money in the Bank. It will be the first one-on-one bout between the two men.

Kingston is an impressive in-ring performer, as his match against Daniel Bryan was one of the best bouts of WrestleMania 35. The WWE Champion will be eager to repeat the same feat at Money in the Bank.

Kevin Owens has also been in numerous memorable matches in his career so far. Sami Zayn helped Owens this week, and it will be interesting to see if the former helps the Prize Fighter win his maiden WWE World Title.
