When AJ Styles moved from SmackDown to Raw in the Superstar Shake Up, it did two things. Firstly, it changed up the feuds he could have now that he was on Monday nights. It also allowed Roman Reigns to move to SmackDown since they were both top faces in the WWE.

WWE immediately went with Styles as the first challenger for Rollins after he won the title at WrestleMania 35. It was bittersweet, because while it was great for Styles to get a title shot on Raw, he had been champion for the better part of the last three years. Being the first challenger for the title right away also meant his chances of winning the title weren't that great with Rollins recently winning the gold.

One thing that WWE might decide to do in order to have clear lines drawn in the feud is have a face and a heel. Styles could attack Rollins after the match if he fails to beat 'the Beastslayer', causing a heel turn in the process. Shinsuke Nakamura did the same to Styles after losing at WrestleMania 34 and the same could happen here.

The Good Brothers could also interject themselves into the match or factor into the outcome due to their earlier alliance back in 2016. An easy explanation could be that the Shield is no more, making Rollins 'easy for the pickings'. Styles has been a top face for the better part of the last year and a half and maybe it's time that they turn him heel again.
