Kevin Owens and Kofi Kingston have had an incredibly personal rivalry in a short period of time.

Ever since Kofi Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, he has been a fighting champion. He successfully defended the WWE Championship against Daniel Bryan on an episode of Raw and against AJ Styles & Sami Zayn in a triple threat match on an episode of SmackDown Live.

Kevin Owens also became an honorary member of the New Day. However, he shockingly turned on the New Day and since then, Kofi Kingston has been determined to get his revenge on him. While Kevin Owens definitely has a chance to win the WWE Championship and would be great as the champion Roman Reings defeats to win the title. However, Kofi Kingston deserves a longer reign as champion and will likely defeat him.
