Mysterio got revenge over Samoa Joe

This encounter felt much more like a segment than a match, and while it was nice to see Mysterio capture the US Championship, there is clearly still a lot more to come from these two men.

Having Mysterio pick up the quick victory actually made a lot of sense from a narrative perspective given what happened at WrestleMania, and Dominic watching his father get beat down post-match also suggests that the company has something in the pipeline with him as well.

The idea of Mysterio passing on his mask could certainly have an emotional impact and could be a nice way of saying goodbye to Mysterio's in-ring career but it remains unclear as to whether or not that is the WWE's plans.

Expect at least one more match between these two before we see the bigger picture with Mysterio and his son though.
