Money In The Bank: 3 Major Heel Turns That Could Happen

Heel turns are always expected.

#2 Sonya Deville

In the shadow of your best friend.
In the shadow of your best friend.

The one thing many people have learnt about the women's division over the years is that nothing stays the same - not too long ago we were witnessing the rise of Ronda Rousey as the top female athlete in all of wrestling, but now we are in the era of Becky Lynch.

However, if one thing feels given to a certain extent going into the pay-per-view, then it's Mandy Rose becoming a bigger star than anyone thought she would. At Money in the Bank, WWE could be looking to get Mandy up the ranks of the division, as the Golden Goddess is vying for the chance to become Ms. Money in the Bank.

They say always be kind to those on your way; Mandy's opportunity at Money in the Bank was only possible due to Sonya Deville giving up her chance to compete for the briefcase herself. A few weeks ago on Smackdown Live, Sonya insisted Mandy be the one to achieve her dreams, which is a nice gesture by the former NXT superstar, but this does seem like a neat ploy by WWE to implement a betrayal at Money in the Bank.

Sonya turning on her best friend for hogging the spotlight over the last few months would be smart booking. Mandy's character would be treading new water as a babyface, while Sonya could explore her 'heel MMA badass' persona as well. Of course, given the ever-changing sympathies of the WWE Universe, the roles could very well be reversed in their eyes.

#3 Big E or Xavier Woods

Would this be the heel turn of the year?
Would this be the heel turn of the year?

The New Day are on their last legs, as this is a group seems to have run its course. This is something that WWE is aware of. However, Kofi's WWE title run has prolonged the trio's tenure for now.

However, things are starting to make more sense - Big E has been disgruntled with New Day for making Kevin Owens their new honorary member even though he warned them; Xavier woods has been trying to watch Kofi's back during this feud with Owens and is being brutalized every time; Kofi is being built up as a champion that walks his own path. At Money in the Bank, we could see the last of The New Day, presumably with Big E putting the nail in the coffin.

It would be a sight for sore eyes if these events did happen, but it would be best for everyone's interest, as the amount of heat WWE would obtain to create a new top heel would be insane to pass up. WWE has all the cards in their hand to create a truly iconic moment, if they waste it, then its all on them.

Bayley gives us a HUGE update on a top Superstar's upcoming return RIGHT HERE.
