#2 Shouldn’t happen: Former Money in the Bank winner wins the briefcase again

This year’s Money in the Bank matches will feature two Superstars who have experience with the briefcase. Carmella won the first-ever Women’s Money in the Bank contract back in 2017 and used it to pick a shocking win against the then SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair amidst roaring cheers.

Baron Corbin, on the other hand, won the Money in the Bank match on the same night but he was the second wrestler in the entire WWE history who failed in successfully cashing-in his contract.

Both these Superstars will be battling it out for the briefcase on Sunday, but neither of them should win the same. The reason is as simple as acknowledging that the other participants in the respective matches appear to be more deserving ahead of the PPV. Someone like Lacey Evans or Shayna Baszler needs the Money in the Bank contract more desperately as compared to Carmella.

The same goes for the men’s division. Someone like Aleister Black and AJ Styles will do better with their hands on the briefcase. On SmackDown’s go-home show before Money in the Bank, Corbin stood tall with the MITB briefcase in his hand. Maybe WWE are inclining towards giving him a second chance but right now, it may not be the best time to do so.
