A couple of weeks ago on WWE RAW, Gunther told Ludwig Kaiser to go out on his own and make a name for himself instead of always speaking on his behalf. This seemed to motivate Kaiser, and he attacked Sheamus and Bron Breakker during their title match later in the night.
Kaiser fought against Breakker and Sheamus in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series: WarGames. He came close to winning, but Breakker hit him with a spear and retained his title.

Tonight on RAW, Kaiser confronted the Intercontinental Champion and told him how close he was to winning the title. He said that nothing is stopping him from taking the title off Breakker. The IC Champion then told him he would speak to Adam Pearce and would love to beat him for the title. He then told the 34-year-old star to get out from under Gunther's shadow much faster since The Ring General's stock was plummeting.
