"As long as Bron Breakker defeats him in 5 seconds" - WWE Universe open to former Universal Champion's return at SummerSlam this year

Bron Breakker has been on a path of destruction since he was denied a spot in the 2024 King of the Ring tournament. Meanwhile, the WWE Universe on X/Twitter is seemingly open to former Universal Champion Goldberg returning at SummerSlam 2024 to put over Breakker in a big way.

@enforcerchris_ on X/Twitter suggested a retirement match for Goldberg against Breakker at this year's SummerSlam in Cleveland, Ohio. The WWE Hall of Famer has been clamoring for one last bout, and he might be the perfect opponent for one of the fastest-rising superstars on the main roster.

A bunch of fans were open to the idea, despite Goldberg's age. They seemingly approved of the match as long as Bron Breakker went over and secured a convincing victory.

"As long as Bron Breakker defeats him in five seconds," a fan replied.

"I think it can be a fun match like Brock [Lesnar] vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania 33," one fan commented.

"This is a great idea. Bron squashes him in 10 seconds…he'd be a megastar within a da*n minute," another fan claimed.

Other fans went even as far as wanting Goldberg to have zero offense against Bron Breakker. Some members of the WWE Universe wanted it to be a squash match.

"It would be a nice one only and ONLY if Bron is the winner. We don't need another burial like in 'Super ShowDown 2020'. I was a Goldberg fan, but it's time to pass the torch," one fan commented.

"Goldberg hits the Spear and the Jackhammer and Bron kicks out at one, gets up and Spears Goldberg three times and wins," a fan suggested.

Da Man's last match in WWE took place at Elimination Chamber 2022. At the event, he lost to Roman Reigns in six minutes.

Bron Breakker brutally attacked Ricochet on WWE RAW

Bron Breakker has been on a rampage on RAW, targeting many prominent stars. He defeated Ricochet last week on WWE RAW and followed it up by beating Ilja Dragunov on Monday. The Human Highlight Reel came out to save Dragunov from a post-match beatdown by the second-generation star, but it quickly backfired.

Breakker smashed Ricochet by delivering a powerslam to him on the hood of a car. The former United States Champion also took a nasty bump on the concrete floor after his leg got caught on his rival's shoulders.

WWE officials quickly took Ricochet to a local medical facility following the altercation. The former United States Champion was seemingly written off television since his contract was about to expire.
