It was announced on WWE RAW this week that Dakota Kai will be out of action for several weeks after sustaining another injury. A new report has emerged revealing how people backstage reacted to the unfortunate news.
The Damage CTRL member has battled with injuries multiple times in her career. She suffered a torn ACL during a match on the May 12, 2023 episode of SmackDown that kept her out of action for 10 months. She made her in-ring return several months ago in May. Unfortunately, it was revealed on RAW this week that the 36-year-old star tore her meniscus and will be sidelined for 8 to 10 weeks.
According to PWInsider Elite, Dakota Kai has garnered a lot of sympathy backstage in WWE, where she is both well-liked and respected by her peers. While it's currently unknown when she will be cleared to return, backstage officials are hopeful that she'll be back ahead of this year's Survivor Series WarGames, which will take place on November 30.

Dakota Kai says she never thought she could make it to WWE
King Kota is the first person Triple H rehired after he took over as head of creative. She made a surprise return to the company at SummerSlam in 2022 and formed Damage CTRL with Bayley and IYO SKY.
Speaking to Busted Open Radio, Dakota Kai spoke about her journey to WWE and said she never thought she could make it to the company.
""I was completely enamored with the athleticism, the theatrics, and everything. I started watching it every week and I began training in 2007, which feels like so long ago (...) I never really thought at any point that I would ever make it here (...) I never thought that I would make it [to WWE] until I eventually got that tryout, and it was very much a whirlwind experience for sure," said Kai.
Dakota Kai was supposed to face Shayna Baszler on RAW last week, but the bout was scrapped. It'll be interesting to see when she will make her return.
