WWE News: Batista claims The Rock would be a better President than Donald Trump

Batista is currently engaged with his Hollywood commitments

A few days back, The Rock had hinted at the possibility of giving himself a run at the 2020 US Presidential elections. Within a short span of time, the WWE and Hollywood superstar has already managed to garner quite a bit of support, especially from his former associates in the WWE.

Raw General Manager Mick Foley had said in a recent interview that he saw ‘The Brahma Bull’ running for President in 2020 and even potentially serving two terms in the role. The latest name from the wrestling world to promote The Rock’s name as a future President is Dave Bautista, popularly known by his in-ring name, Batista.

TMZ caught up with ‘The Animal’ recently and questioned him about The People’s Champion’s intention to compete in the next election. In response, Batista claimed that he would be a better candidate than newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump. He said:

“Better candidate than f**king Trump! I'd vote for him,”

The four-time WWE World Heavyweight champion seems to support his former colleague now, but they certainly weren’t best friends in the ring. Take a look at this video of an instance when Batista and The Rock shared ring space:

Batista was also asked about which qualities of The Rock made him a suitable candidate for becoming the President. To this, the former WWE superstar said:

“He's a decent person, decent human being, good leader, smart.”

Batista, regarding The Great One’s chances of winning and heading to the White House, went on to add:

“If Trump can win, anybody could definitely win.”

The two-time Royal Rumble match winner made his last WWE appearance at an NXT event in 2014, where he delivered his famous ‘spinebuster’ to Bo Dallas. In 2016, Batista was in talks to make a comeback at Wrestlemania 32 but he later ended up declining the offer.
