WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is among the greatest to step inside the squared circle and is arguably one of the most beloved babyfaces in wrestling history. He's now celebrating a significant milestone in his life, as he turns 60 today.
Though Foley was a hardcore wrestler in the early stages of his career, wrestling under the ring name Cactus Jack, once he moved to WWE in 1996, he adopted the character of Mankind. Fans connected with his new persona, and in January 1999, he climbed to the top of the mountain as the WWE Champion. Mick Foley would go on to have a storied career in the company and later even made waves in TNA.
Though he doesn't wrestle anymore, Foley is active in the business by participating in conventions and making sporadic appearances on TV.
WWE legend Mick Foley reveals he considered coming out of retirement to face MJF
A few days ago, in an interview with Casual Conversations with the Classic, Foley opened up about meeting AEW star MJF. During their interaction, the two jotted down potential ideas related to the WWE legend stepping inside the ring again.
Mick Foley added that he was confident that he and the former AEW Champion could have pulled off a memorable mini-feud if things had fallen into place.
"I was just flattered. It's pretty cool. Two Long Island guys meeting at a steakhouse. We didn't even take a photo of the situation, but it was cool. I don't want to tell you. It's up to him whether he wants to share his ideas, but they were good ideas. If I could have carried it off, it could have been a really good six-week program," Foley said. [H/T: Fightful]
Foley hasn't wrestled in more than 10 years, with his last in-ring outing being in 2012 when he competed in that year's Royal Rumble Match.
