WWE Superstar Bianca Belair recently opened up about the initial days of her relationship with her husband, Montez Ford. She disclosed that the latter had to ask permission from a WWE Hall of Famer to date her.
The EST of WWE and one-half of the Street Profits first met in NXT. After dating for a few months, the couple announced their engagement in June 2017. A year later, Belair and Ford tied the knot. The talented stars are now active on the SmackDown roster.
In a recent interview with the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, the reigning Women's Tag Team Champion recalled WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry giving her two pieces of advice, one regarding her character and the other regarding dating co-workers.
When Henry gave her the second advice, Belair had already gotten romantically involved with Ford. The 35-year-old disclosed that she was confused about how to fix the situation and went to Ford for help.
A top AEW star has fired back at his critics HERE.
"I remember, so, that first talk was when he was like, 'Don't disappoint me,' but then he was helping me with like figuring out what I want this character to be. And that second talk, I remember him talking to me at the Performance, and he's like, 'We don't date each other,' and I'm just looking at him like, 'Uhh, kinda already am, but, okay, I hear you!''' she said.
The former SmackDown Tag Team Champion told his then-girlfriend that he would handle the problem and went to talk with The World's Strongest Man to ask him permission to continue seeing The EST of WWE.
"And I remember just going back and telling my husband now, like,'Uh oh, this man got me in the door; he got me this opportunity, and he's telling me not to do something, but I'm kinda already doing it, like, how can we fix this now?' He was like, 'I got it. I got it!' So, yeah, he went and had that, like, my husband had to have two talks, one with Mark Henry and one with my daddy for approval.'' [31:17-32:04]
The EST of WWE made the first move on Montez Ford
In an interview with Sherri last year, Bianca Belair detailed how her romantic relationship with Montez Ford started while they trained in NXT. The 35-year-old disclosed that she was attracted to the former RAW Tag Team Champion at first sight.
The EST of WWE revealed that she was the one who made the first move but accidentally gave him the wrong phone number.
"I made the first move. I did. That was my first time ever, like, going after a guy, but my very first time seeing him, I told my friend, I was like, 'Keep him away from me; that is a beautiful man!' And we happened to be out at the same time that night, and I went after him. Yeah, I made the first move, and then I accidentally gave him the wrong phone number," she said.
While Ford will be absent from the upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames PLE, his wife will compete in the Women's WarGames Match.
